Mostly for all the historic landmarks, breathtaking scenery, and royal feels it will leave your love’s heart yearning for more. Why do we call it historic exactly? Because Dublin boasts many landmarks that have stood tall throughout the centuries which also feature a romantic feel to them. Cross the rolling hills to the Cliffs of Moher or venture out to one of the many castles and manors and you will have one of the most memorable Valentine’s Day getaways ever. With the scene set on the cobbled streets of Dublin, take your date to a whiskey tasting or eating your way up and down the Temple Bar scene. If you’re on the more traditional side of the fence then try one of Dublin’s spas. We include more info on the Cliffs of Moher and other western European cities here.
New York City, New York

If you’ve been browsing the many Valentine’s Day gifs, or have ever watched a romantic comedy then you know New York City is one of the most romantic vaction spots in the world to take your date on a Valentine’s Day getaway. If you’re already a native, then check out one of the restaurants in your borough as Valentine’s Day in NY always promises a dinner scene like no other. Most of the eateries are so booked for the day that you most likely need to make a reservation. If you’re not from the big apple then you have a plethora of options for taking your date around the city for the first time. There’s the top of the Empire State Building which is so notorious for love that it sees many marriage proposals all year-round. You won’t need a bunch of Valentine’s Day chocolates when traveling to Paris because the city is ripe with beautiful scenery, a plethora of places to get that candlelight dinner, and plenty of boutiques to get whatever your romantic heart desires. Venice, Italy

This next location has been in the news for
major flooding as this city is famous for its canals and romantic backdrops.
But don’t let the flooding stop you as most of the city remains in great
condition. Venice is well known for great food, romantic gondola rides and a
long storied history that dates back to a time where the only entertainment to
talk about on dates was books. It’s this mix of geography, history, and setting
that make Venice a place like no other. And that’s even leaving out how great
the weather can be all year-round. But, just because a city thrives on great
food and wine, that doesn’t mean you can’t bring some great Valentine’s Day
candy on your date too.
Jamaica

You won’t need to buy a whole lot of Valentine’s Day treats for this next location as Jamaica is already chock full of great activities, cool weather, music, nightlife, food, and so much more. When you take your Valentine’s Day date to Jamaica, you won’t be in the traditional snowy and wintry weather that’s usually experienced around this time of year, you’ll instead be able to lounge with that special someone on places like a white sandy beach, a swim-up bar, and more. You will be able to enjoy the warm climate of Jamaica, its great party atmosphere, and a culture like no other. Jamaica makes for one of the most romantic islands locations for Valentine’s Day.
The Grenadines

The next location on our list of Valentine’s
Day getaways is a small secluded island that has a Jamaica type feel to it
although more special. The name of this island is the Grenadines. You may have
heard of this small unique location but if not, some notable things about this
place are that it is completely unlike the other places on our list in that you
actually arrive to the Grenadines by ferry. If that isn’t romantic and secluded
enough how about lounging on white sandy beaches with the sound of the wind
blowing through the fronds of the palm trees. With the limited access, your romance
starts when you step off that ferry and you will have the options of great
food, awesome music, time at the beach, and the ability to visit their wildlife
reserve.
Necker Island, British Virgin
Islands

Much like the Grenadines, this location for
your Valentine’s Day getaway is surrounded by a beautiful body of water. Necker
Island is part of the British Virgin Islands. Fun fact, Richard Sir Branson
actually owns this island. Necker Island is, of course, a private island, so
don’t expect this location to be on the modestly priced side of the fence. But,
if you do find that your Valentine’s Day budget is optional for a private island
getaway then you’ll be getting that Caribbean vibe with great food, a relaxed
atmosphere, and obviously memories to last a lifetime. Plus you get to brag
that you got to spend Valentine’s Day on a private island owned by Sir Richard
Branson. So cool!
